THE QUIET PRACTICE

Yoga + Movement with Fugen

Move with attention

Some days call for effort.

Some days call for ease.

The Quiet Practice is a space to explore both.

Through Yin, Yang and functional movement, each practice invites you to pay attention to your breath, your body and what you need today. You do not need to be flexible. You do not need to perform. You only need to begin where you are.

Offerings

An active-to-still practice balancing purposeful movement with longer, quieter holds

For those who enjoy moving—but may not always know when to stop.

Yin × Yang brings active and quiet practices into the same session. We begin with grounding and intentional movement, gradually build warmth and strength, and then transition into longer-held shapes and stillness.

The practice may include flowing sequences, balance, mobility, Yin postures, breath awareness and rest.

Suitable for:
• People who want both movement and stillness
• Active bodies that need more recovery
• Anyone learning when to push and when to soften

A slower practice for busy minds, tired bodies and anyone who needs space to pause.

A quieter practice with longer-held, mostly floor-based shapes. Props and variations are used to help you settle into a position that feels appropriate for your body.

There is less to achieve and more time to notice.

Suitable for:
• Busy professionals experiencing stress or fatigue
• People seeking a gentler, more reflective practice
• Anyone who finds slowing down difficult

Movement and recovery practices for runners, strength trainees and hybrid athletes.

These sessions complement your existing training rather than compete with it. Practices may focus on commonly loaded areas such as the hips, hamstrings, calves, ankles, shoulders and spine, while also developing balance, body awareness and active mobility.

Sessions can be adapted around a particular sport, training cycle or group.

Suitable for:
• Runners
• HYROX and functional-fitness athletes
• Strength trainees
• Active people looking for purposeful recovery

Accessible yoga and movement sessions for workplaces, conferences and team events.
From energising morning practices and desk-friendly movement breaks to slower sessions for rest and recovery, each experience can be adapted to your group, schedule and setting.
Sessions may be mat-based or designed to be practised standing or seated, making them suitable for the office, meeting room or conference programme.

Practices can be created for workplaces, studios, running communities, fitness groups and private gatherings.

Each session can be adapted to the experience, needs and energy of the group.

ABOUT

Namaste, I'm Fugen

I’m a Singapore-based yoga teacher and movement practitioner. I run, lift and train for HYROX, while also enjoying rhythmic spin, Muay Thai and Reformer Pilates.

I know what it feels like to keep pushing. Stress and burnout taught me that rest and recovery are not rewards; they are part of moving and living well.

This shapes how I teach. I bring together active movement, Yin Yoga, breath and mindfulness, using clear language and functional choices. Rather than asking everyone to create the same shape, I encourage you to notice your body and find an appropriate edge.

My training includes two 200-hour yoga teacher training programmes, including Living Yoga: 200-Hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training with Living Yoga by Leigh; 180 hours of Yin Yoga training with Jo Phee; and 60 hours of Yoga & Mindfulness training with Wendy Chan of Yoga Seeds.

I believe we can become stronger without becoming harder, and softer without losing our strength. The Quiet Practice is for anyone exploring that balance.

Move well. Feel well. Live well.
